چکیده

• Video imaging is applied to determine the solid/liquid phase transition temperature. Impedance also Eutectic composition and temperature of binary ternary system was estimated. The eutectic T e X systems composed three ionic liquids, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C 2 mim]Cl), 1-methyl-3-propylimidazolium 3 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium 4 were estimated using a video method, in which formation liquid on solidified liquids at given stored vial detected from time-lapse images taken during scanning. advantage this method that multiple samples (five study) could be measured simultaneously, whereas its disadvantage less accurate determination melting point compared with conventional differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method. [C mim]Cl–[C mim]Cl, mim]Cl roughly Furthermore, limited compositions estimated, lower than systems. electrochemical impedance two Pt wire electrodes as function inversed resistance curve (d R –1 /d )- shows an obvious peak corresponding low conductive solid highly phase. This comparable obtained DSC measurement.

Photo-degradation of Imidazolium Ionic Liquids

Degradation of imidazolium ionic liquid, [bmim][TFSA] and iodide solution of [bmim][TFSA] by UV-laser irradiation has been studied through ground state absorption and transient absorption spectroscopy. We found that excited state [bmim] undergoes degradation efficiently. Introduction Room-temperature ionic liquids are receiving considerable attention because of their remarkable properties, such...

Electrofinishing of metals using eutectic based ionic liquids

Ionic liquids are molten salts that have low melting points. This review concentrates upon eutectic mixtures of quaternary ammonium salts and metal salts (usually halides). These so-called eutectic based ionic liquids can be used for the electrodeposition and dissolution of a wide range of metals and alloys. The review highlights the technological challenges involved in the application of ionic...

Vibrational spectra of imidazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquids

The Raman and infrared spectra of a series of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquids ([C2-4MIM][BF4]) are reported and analyzed using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and RHF methods at the 6-311+G(2d,p) computational level. The B3LYP (DFT) and RHF calculations reproduce the vibrational spectra of 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate [EMIM][BF4], 1-propyl-3-methyl ...
